The Autonomous University of Madrid is organising an International Scientific Congress on geohistorical sources. The event will take place between 23 and 25 May 2024. The call for papers is open until  September 4th 2023 (contributions can be submitted in Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese). All necessary information, including contacts and schedule, can be found here.

Invitation to the 7th International Conference organised by Association of Critical Heritage Studies (ACHS). The theme of the conference will be "Custodialship," a concept connecting communities with cultural heritage ownership. The conference will be held in the Irish town of Galway at the National University of Ireland and will take place between 3th and 6 of June 2024. Invitation to the Jubilee 30th meeting of the Permanent European Conference for the Study of Rural Landscapes (PECSRL) under the theme: Borderscapes - past and future. The conference will be held in Poland in 2024 from 9–15. 9. in two places: Lublin and Zamość. The conference will be hosted by the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (about UMCS). Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society of institution University Ludvik Maxmilian Mnichov for year 2024 offers applications for fellowship program based at the Herrmannsdorf Landwerkstätten (an organic farm outside of Munich). Fellowship program is suitable for excellent doctoral, postdoctoral, and senior scholars. Department of Historical Atlas of the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences last year finished project called “Historical Atlas of Poland. Detailed Maps of the Sixteenth Century”. One outcome of this project is a summary volume which contains all published volumes of commentaries, historical maps, and spatial databases.

On the side-lines of this project is exploring possibilities for effective data-sharing via the “Atlas Fontium” platform. This web portal helps collect, analyse and publish information and sources which aid studying the historical geography of Polish lands within pre-1772 borders. There is possibility to participate in the “Atlas Fontium” usability study. The target group of this survey encompasses researchers and experts in history and geography. The link will take you to an online survey. Before start filling inthe survey form, there will be presented introduction and a short video about the web portal. The video and survey will take approximately 30 minutes to watch and complete. The survey will be available until 28.02.2023.
